Product Questions

How should I dose edible medical marijuana?
We always recommend individuals to start low and increase their dosage. Consuming edible medical marijuana requires the body to digest and process it through the liver. This requires anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your body's function and what type of product was consumed. For example, a liquid tincture will digest and enter the bloodstream much sooner than an infused product like gummies. Some individuals may see effects at dosages as low as 5mg of active ingredient. It is recommended to consume 5mg and wait 2 hours until you can see whether this amount has affected you. If there is no affect, increase the dose incrementally and wait again.
What is the difference between distillate and full spectrum extracts?
Distillate extracts are produced from the distillation of a crude THC extract. This distillation process removes THC only to create a completely uniform high concentration of THC. While pure THC cannot reach 100%, it can reach very high levels of around 98%. This distillation process allows low-quality product to be salvaged to produce distillate. This makes the distillate indistinguishable of the source of the THC. Full Spectrum extracts are extracted from the entire plant and are done at sub-critical temperatures to ensure maximum terpene, terpenoid, flavinoid and cannabinoid content. These full spectrum extracts will retain much of the full flavor/characteristics of its flower counterpart. Full spectrum extracts utilize the entourage effect to increase THC absorption rates, creating a more comprehensive and longer-lasting effect. Typically, these products are more expensive, because the full spectrum extract will only be as good as the flower product it started with, where-as distillate can be created from any low-quality product which is typically the case.
What is the difference in concentrate types?
The difference in concentrate types takes into account a large number of variables including extraction method, temperatures, pressures, strain quality, and many more. These different processes and strains produce different types of consistencies within the concentrate itself. You've probably heard the terms shatter, budder, wax, live resin, sauce, diamonds, etc. These are all different terms for extracts in various consistencies. There are many resources online that discuss the difference of these concentrates/extracts in detail.
What does "live" mean for vape carts and concentrates?
Live is intended to indicate the plant was harvested and immediately flash frozen preserving the plants beautiful aromas and flavor profiles. This frozen material is then processed using one of the many extraction techniques available. This "live" product produces a higher-concentration of terpene, terpinoids, and flavinoids giving the extract a much more flavorful taste and aroma. Live resins can vary widely on how viscous the extract may be, based on the concentration of terpenes found on the plant harvested, along with the extraction technique used.
Resin vs. Rosin
The core difference between these forms of cannabis extract are in how it's processed. Rosin is produced without the use of solvents, where Resins are producing using a solvent. Both live rosin and live resin are similar in their output — a potent extract that utilizes the natural resin found in the cannabis plant to create a connoisseur level concentrate experience.
